    Dear Sir

AICF has announced its National Championship Calendar-2018 recently on 1st February 2018 which is attached.

It is high time when we should also announce our Annual Chess Calendar for 2018. Accordingly, bids are invited.

The ABCA guidelines in this regard, Bid form proforma, State events structure in clubbed set-up, entry fee and prize structure etc., — all are attached for your perusal. I hope, by this time interested units have made up their mind to opt for an event.

There are some interesting changes in clubbing module and promotional announcement in the attachments.
” The State Championship will be upgraded to a FIDE Rating event.”
“The Rapid and Blitz championship will also be clubbed together with the Senior State Championship.

Rapid & blitz event will be conducted in the mid of the Senior State FIDE Rating Championship beginning from a Sunday to .a Saturday. While the Main event will be a 10 round swiss, the Rapid & Blitz will take on  Wednesday. This will be refreshing to both serious and amateur players and would attract large number of players in the Rapid & Blitz.   So, the senior event will be a festival for all and sundry!”

” No processing fee will be charged by ABCA for organising All India FIDE Rating tournaments”

” ABCA will support the host unit by bearing 50% cash prize fund in all the state events. “
The above modifications are valid uptill 31st March 2019 and are subject to approval by the GB.

Units are, therefore, requested to go through the attached documents carefully and send us their bid on or before 20th February 2017 for further necessary action.
